This animation is horrible. Either showing characters without background or close ups of faces. Close to 0 wide shots and even if there are ones it's either a rubble, sky or grass. Cheap, ugly and rushed.
Emotional disaster. It tries to be emotional 24/7 making all those emotions empty. Everything is a last stand. Last stand every 5 minutes. Makes all those scenes empty and it's not the first season they done that.
Typical to many anime powered by friendship so is the case here. Other side characters must be involved in some shape or form for some reason. Given their background story, given some redemption
...
arc, their last appearance in the story before the big end.
To get more screen time. Every move, every decision must be explained by the characters otherwise it would be like 4 episodes. Oh yeah and do not forget to repeat what you said at least twice. Treating your viewer like some kind of a moron.
Sad end to a story that started so great. Maybe it will get a worthy reboot at some point with fixed story and all that, one can only hope.

Unfair is the best word i can come up with to describe this movie.
I'm sure most people who watched this movie will know who i'm talking about. It was quite sad and disappointing. At the same time we don't really know if 1 side was simply to strong or the other was weak. It is hard to evaluate it. Or perhaps it was just a perfect counter.
It is an excellent and magnificent continuation of a great story that does not disappoint for a second. Everything that was in previous entries to the series are present here. Sweat, blood, tears and sacrifice continue to be the

back bone of the show, it is uneven fight that needs to be won at a price.
So why 'only' 8? Well in the end it is a bit poorly written story, it has always been and remains to be not the best in the writing department. This show was and will be always carried by great fight sequences, excellent animation and great audio (and a bit of fan service sprinkled in). Like it is very hard for me to also imagine how certain characters will continue onward in this castle, but all that remains is to wait and see, how the story develops their progression and maybe they find a way out of their situation.
The art like always does not disappoint, it is very magnificent i do not remember a single bad scene that would hinder my viewing experience in any way. The English dubbed version is excellent and i recommend it to anyone who can understand it, it is much better experience than sub.

For me it is simply the best written continuation of the story. The execution of everything in this show was quite perfect. The pace, the twists, the quality.
It's not the best animated movie don't get me wrong, but it is the best continuation of already ongoing series, by using a movie.
The story is absolutely something out of this world, our little boy continues to not disappoint and learns sooooooo much in this new arc. The love and heartbreak i could just feel them myself...
The movie will make you feel all kinds of ways and it is quite a rare thing to achieve

especially in modern cinema. You can pretty much feel every emotion coming to you thru this movie.
Some scenes could be done better and lack proper good animation, but its not factor in the overall enjoyment of the movie. But it did sting me a bit to see them. It's like 2 or 3 scenes, but it stings seeing the overall quality of the show to see the quality drop for just those brief moments.
And yes this is a slow burn movie, it's not a non stop action shounen slop it is a proper movie that has world building and i hope the series continues this way.
Kobeni continues to be the funniest character of the show, she is my little rock star!

Amazing art style, great power system, very good dub.
Art style is just something else and i really love it. It is also very high quality.
Power system or rather powers system and how powers work is something fresh and new at least i never saw before. It also is not fully explained at any point, we discover it by seeing it used on the screen. Not having hard rules makes it easier to in the future expand the power system in any suitable way. The powers are coherent and make sense.
English dub is outstanding and i really enjoyed it, a really good dub makes anime for

me more enjoyable. Recommend this dub 100%.
The characters have character! They are not bland empty husks, everyone has their certain something a gimmick a thing to remember them by.
Seems like a very well built world that someone spent a lot of time polishing. Could use some slower episodes tho, the pace of the show is quite something. That is why it's not a 10 for me, the pace just felt too fast.

It's just a continuation of the previous series so you can expect what was already present. But the story takes a bit more serious turn and focuses a bit on the past and background story of certain characters. It does move story forward quite a bit with new opportunities.
Star system and the Thunderbolt system are still continuing to be a disappointing, because of the reasons they are obtained with.
Plenty of laughs even with the darker episodes.
The darker episodes show the reality and cruelty of war, it is a very good showcase of how pointless and brutal the wars are for no reason.

Glad it continues to be an anti war anime. Showing that the greed and ambition of a few cost many their most precious valuable thing they have - their life.

Forgotten - this word best describes this anime. As it will be forgotten the moment you stop watching it. There is nothing really happening nothing really to remember the show by.
Maybe this feeling comes from the wrong pace of the show, maybe it was badly adapted i would not know i did not read the source. One thing is certain, the show is all over the place and has no real story. It would be fine if at least places showed to us had something interesting to them, but it is quite generic. Simple themes and simple writing seems to be leading traits of

this anime.
Main character is as unlikable as it can get, her traits are contradicting herself. One moment she is a hard working humble girl, the next she is a total narcissist. The first episode shows the viewer a poor little girl who can't find a teacher, but the more episodes you watch the more you realize 'yeah she deserved that treatment'. It's just a spoiled little girl from a rich family.

It is a rather slow season. I do not mind it being that way, but it seems like the plot has been artificially extended to fit the bought out time slot, that is why we get a rather poor story. I'm not gonna compare to original story as i did not read it. But it feels like some dialogue is just there to be there, it's like those endless TV shows with infinite plot, they keep talking but about rather mundane stuff and of course every character from the show must be included for at list a small part of it. It fells like when

the creators don't really know where to push it they push it everywhere to keep story lines open and ready to be used. I would say this is like a world building and establishing of future plot season. I guess in previous 2 seasons the world could be presented a bit more and now it finally had to catch up and could not be stopped. It is quite a big universe to be honest, perhaps if the story focused some time on the allies as well it wouldn't be so bad, instead of making those fill the air type of talks.
And what do i mean by slow? Well instead of a shounen this story has become majority city/kingdom managing story. I don't really mind it but we should get some exploration at least too instead of city builder simulator LOL There is some fights still but compared to previous seasons? Yeaaaa it's missing.
The art style is taking a huge hit here and there, you will notice fast what i'm talking about. So for that alone i took a big part from the overall score.
Overall i still think it's a worthy watch, just poorly presented. Hopefully future seasons/movies will make up for it with some great story telling and of course action :D

I suppose i should start this by simply saying, yes it gets drastically worse in the middle of it but it picks up later do not abandon it! I myself was on the verge of abandoning it on episode 16. I feel like many have fallen around this episode and thus the rating tanked a bit.
I think some plans changed and around 4-5 real episodes are missing and the air is filled with repeats and stuff like that, similar to what happens in One Peace. I guess they wanted to leave us on a cliff hanger and thus the qualify of anime dropped because
...
they had so much material and too many episodes to fill.
Is the show still good? Yes.
The story itself is very hmm... well... it is very difficult to describe without spoiling it. It is filled with emotions :) It is not by any means perfect, it does lack sometimes, but in the end as a whole it is a great show and i recommend it to you dear reader. It feels fresh, its funny and dumb, the graphics are very good, voice acting is top notch. The only thing lacking is the pacing and a bit of void in the story, but if u ignore it or if some fans make a cutout version without the air fillers it is a very good story, a very good show.
What i mean by fresh is in the endless sea of bad isekai and romance this anime shines best. Comparing it to some of the greatest animes? Nah... but as a thing you will enjoy your time with? Yes. It has some new ideas, it has some boundaries and rules.
So have fun and be strong because the bad part will eventually come and you have to overcome it!

To me this show felt like some ideas some stories that were supposed to be implemented in S1 but due to air time limitations were cut out and don't sometimes they don't fit that well, due to changes that had to be done to make the S1 compatible. I wish we got 33 episodes in a mannerly order and with the full story, but oh well some stuff had to be left out to fit the timeline.
Is the show any good? Well due to many plot jumps it feels a bit messy, but it is not a bad show in general, same quality

is kept. Maybe 1 day we will get a remastered version like what happened to Hunter X Hunter.
Is it nesesery to watch? I feel like if you want to stick to this series you should definitely watch it. Maybe if you didn't watch neither stories someone arranged the episodes in some manner to represent how the story is supposed to go and you can follow some kind of list to watch it in an orderly fashion.
I'm a bit disappointed that this has happened, but in the end anime is a business. Maybe one day when we get more animators in the western world that are on par with those great anime studios from japan we can get more stuff done. In the end money rules it all, and remember that every time you see a poor adaptation of a work you found rather great.

At the beginning it will drag you into itself it is a really nice idea for the story. But with each episode it will fail you more and more. The premise of the anime is that the most powerful magician reincarnates himself and his student in another world, in this world he doesn't want to make the same mistakes, he doesn't want to put the spotlight of being the strongest in the world on himself, that is what killed him (no really a spoiler happens in the first minutes of first episode) he wants to leave in shadows so to speak. He wants to cast
...
that spotlight on someone else. Yet he fails to do so at every corner, at every step he takes he just proves to people around him how powerful he is, time and time again instead of refusing to do something as he promised himself he would do to stay away from the spotlight, he keeps on taking more and more challenging tasks that are all trivial to him, the only struggle the character had was with lack of paper (yes actual paper) that he later makes himself, and that is about it, that is the end of his struggles. He is like a God living among humans.
The animation is very well done, yet it is wasted on such an awful story, sometimes i wonder how come this kind of stories get the spotlight instead of some other well written stories. But maybe there are just no better stories to be told... Maybe it's time Japan seeks more outside of it's borders for stories to animate if the market is so dry and filled to the brim with bad isekai stories. I wish that was the case, but sadly we are left with this mess of a story that makes no logical sense that is this anime.
The author had a very interesting yet shallow idea about splitting different types of magic depending on the source of it. This system is really something amazing, yet it is not quite put in the spotlight, wish they would go more in that direction, in the end the main character attends a magic school so its logical he would learn about magic in it.
