similar setting and themes - palace drama, romance similar plot - emperor and empress suddenly have to cooperate because of supernatural interference similar animation - pretty impressive for a 3D dongman similar pacing - plot progresses in each episode etc.

I don't think the CGI is really that bad, though. In comparison to Ex-Arm, they have worked quite a lot on the expressions of the characters, it's not quite as good as Houseki no Kuni, but I am happy to see some progress in general. In any case, if you like action and are interested in watching some CGI anime, you could give it a shot.
