Absolutely amazing! one issue with a lot of sci-fi stories like this is that they involve mechs. Im not saying that's an issue as I love gundam, but it's like a breath of fresh air to see one that doesn't include mechs.
The story is 'slow' compared to other anime but I think it helps as you really get to know the crew and feel the tenseness of situations that you wouldn't if the pace was faster.
The characters are well rounded and thought through, their motivations clear and believable.
I think the style really does fit, and the cgi is great considering how niche this anime
