If you had told me a year ago that a show about horse girls would be the catalyst for me changing my entire life's trajectory, I would have laughed. In my review of Cour 1, I admitted I was a skeptic, but got hooked. I called it "peak." I thought I understood how high this series could go.
I was wrong. I wasn't prepared for Cour 2.
While Cour 1 was about the rise of a monster from Kasamatsu, Cour 2 is where the monster challenges the world. If the first half was a sports anime, this second half is a historical love latter disguised as entertainment.

I mentioned in my manga review, what separates Cinderella Gray from giants like Haikyuu!! or even classics like Slam Dunk is the crushing weight of authenticity. In Cour 2, we aren't just watching writers try to invent drama to keep us entertained. We are watching history.
The races in this cour, specifically the build-up to the Japan Cup felt different. There is no plot armor here. Because these characters are based on real legends who lived, fought, and sometimes lost, the tension is suffocating. When Oguri runs, you don't just feel the hype, you feel the ghost of the real horse carrying the hopes of an entire era. The anime adaptation captured this perfectly, animating the Zone not as a superpower, but as a terrifying, beautiful reality of elite athletes pushing beyond their limits.
The most important thing I can say about this anime isn't about the animation quality (which was stellar) or the voice acting (which was gut-wrenching). It is about what it did to me. Watching Oguri Cap fight against the world didn't just entertain me, it woke something up inside me. It forced me to look at my own life and ask if I was running my own race. Because of this show and the manga that I picked up immediately after, I have found a new dream. I’m not just a fan anymore, I have decided to pursue the path of becoming a jockey.
I want to see that view from the turf. I want to understand what Oguri saw. This show gave me the courage to fix my life and chase a dream that seems impossible, much like a gray horse from the countryside challenging the elites.

To the Western anime community, You are sleeping on a masterpiece. This isn't just good for a sports anime, this is storytelling in its purest, most raw form.
To Cygames and the staff, You haven't just adapted a manga, you have honored a legacy. You treated these horses with the reverence of gods, and in doing so, you created something human.

My honest review of Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray
I’m currently on chapter 208 of Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray, and judging from the pacing, it feels like the story may conclude within the next few chapters. Before it does, I want to put into words just how profoundly this series has influenced my life. This isn’t just a manga review, it’s a thank-you note to a story that changed the direction of my future.

That passion has grown so strong that I’ve decided to pursue the path of becoming a jockey myself. That is something I never would have imagined before picking up this series.
This manga helped me put myself together during some difficult real-life struggles. It gave me direction, motivation, and a dream to chase. I now hope that one day, I will race in the Japan Cup myself one day. That dream was born because of Cinderella Gray.
Now, about the manga itself: it is astonishing how consistently it improves. In an era where many anime and manga lose their quality season by season series like SAO, Food Wars, or The Rising of the Shield Hero come to mind and meny more, Cinderella Gray does the opposite. Every chapter builds on the previous one. The emotional weight deepens, the storytelling sharpens, and the races become more intense and meaningful. It’s rare to see a long-running series grow instead of decline.
I genuinely believe Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray stands at the very top of the sports genre. Yes, I truly think it rivals and even surpasses legendary titles like Slam Dunk and Hajime no Ippo. And the reason is simple: authenticity.
While most sports series rely on clichés, miracle comebacks, plot armor, predictable story beats, Cinderella Gray doesn’t have the luxury of fiction. It is inspired by real horses, real achievements, real losses, and real legends. There’s no forced drama here. The emotions hit harder because they come from events that actually happened. The horses don’t follow narrative patterns; they follow the unpredictable, sometimes cruel, sometimes beautiful nature of real sport.
In the global anime community, a divide has formed.
Asian fans, especially those who know the world of racing, already understand why Uma Musume is so beloved.
But in the West, the overwhelming majority of fans remain completely unaware that they’re missing out on an absolute masterpiece.
And that’s tragic, because Cinderella Gray is more than entertainment. It’s a tribute, an incredible heartfelt recreation of a golden age of racing. It brings back to life the legends of the past, This series reminds us that even the monsters of the past were horses, gentle and powerful, living lives marked by both triumph and tragedy. I was never really into the Uma Musume universe, even though I’ve always loved sports anime like Haikyuu!!, Kuroko no Basket, Run with the Wind, and others. So when I started Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray, I had mixed feelings and a good dose of skepticism.
But oh boy... this show came charging in like a raging beast, demanding my attention, and it got it, instantly.
From the very first episode, I was completely hooked. Out of all the anime I’ve watched this season (and I’ve seen almost all of them), nothing has hit me this hard, well, maybe The Apothecary Diaries comes close, but Cinderella Gray still

stands on top for me. This show is truly the embodiment of “peak” , peak emotion, peak storytelling, peak characters.
I can’t even count how many times I cried, shouted at the screen to support Oguri, felt overwhelming joy when the ashen beast won, and shared her sorrow when she didn’t. Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray didn’t just entertain me, it left a mark on my soul.

i read first 7 chapers on site called tapas. and now i understand why noone know about this manhwa. its actualy good story in interesting and art is rly good but if u wanna read whole thing u must pay something like 80 usd to read it whole, and that is totaly ridiculous-. nice example of terrible paymant system. for autor it would be way better to put it somwhere where else if he/she wanna make that manhwa popular, but in the end it is his/her choice if they purposely making they manhwa invisible.(i need longer review so i copy it untill it allow me

your words cut deep deeper than any blade
what this movie... no this whole show did to me is indescribable, i never knew that i can feel that many emotios... this is peak of anime.
Sadly this epic master piece come to end and i feel like empty shell like im only shadow of my former self... but i gain something in return... i got to see this master piece that i will remebre to my death and that is somethin than noone can take from me... thanks everyone for Violet Evergarden.

for me it end in episode 27(or rather 26) i watch next 2 episodes but quality of these episoes go rapidly down. i even ask lot of people(something about 11-13) who saw whole death note and they all agree with me on that and told me if idon't want to spoil(disgusted)
