hey man appreciate your kind response, i think i might have came at you a little too aggresive in the heat of the moment lol but i do agree with everything you said. anyone is bound to feel empty with how things ended with lelouch and cc but you should also think from lelouch's perspective - i dont think he would've wanted to live anyway or it wouldve been a completely 'happy' situation for the people beside him if he did live considering how many unwanted lives hes taken and his supposed family and friends hes manipulated. but ill just leave it at that tho because itll be a never ending back and forth lol and thank you for sharing your insights too hope you have agreat one.

hi just watched resurrection and stumbled across your review on it and i have some thoughts to share

first of all, to your seemingly confident belief that this movie holds any weight in reestablishing the series' intended ending, resurrection has absolutely no relevance to the reality of lelouch's death, its nothing more than a simple and quick cash grab (you could easily tell this from the unnatural character interactions and behaviours which felt like lifeless attempts of imitations) to my huge dissapointment but it seemed to have worked its magic on you who wished for a "better" happy ending.

if your idea of an ideal ending to code geass (aot to boot) is everyone lives happily ever after then so be it, but take a moment to think about this. What has been lelouch's archenemy in both the series and resurrection? it is the whims of those who want perfection in a perfectly imperfect world. it is fine for things not to go the way you want because that is what makes life so beautiful and that is the world lelouch had fought his parents to preserve. But lets just say lelouch doesnt die, rather than just him being the only miserable one because hes dead, now everyone else is miserable because they're too far gone to stop fighting without lelouch doing what he did. i really cant conjure a scenario where everyone can truly be happy especially nunally given her and lelouch positions.

btw by no means is this an attack at your opinions, i saw we had pretty similiar tastes and because i had just finished such a masterpiece series that i felt the urge to write this to someone who also clearly enjoyed code geass but yet not in the same headspace about a little aspect of the show.
