Hey TheWindwalker! Happy new year and happy holidays! Thank you for your 3 recommendations this MAL Secret Santa. They all looked very interesting and I can't wait to watch them! I've been really busy this holiday season so I'm really happy to see an anime short as the first recommendation. Anime shorts have a special place in my heart since they're able to tell a story in such a short amount of time and sometimes I feel they leave a bigger impact than some full cour series. :P
I've just finished Pupipo! and I think it was a great series! You're right about the plot with the characters facing difficulties, problems, and/or tragedies in way similar to Clannad, Angel Beats and Your Lie in April. I was really surprised by how continuous the episodes were to each other rather than being episodic. I found that the ending was really sweet and tug at your heart strings T^T. It was a great little series and wrapped up nicely in my opinion. Very good recommendation!

As for your other recommendations, I will give them a watch but I may not finish them as quickly as Pupipo! XD. I'm really excited about Paranoia Agent because I actually saw a trailer for it during December so I added it to my plan to watch list during this MAL event. Can't wait to watch it and also Night Is Short, Walk on Girl! They both look like they have very interesting animation and art.
