I'm watching a bunch of currently airing shows. My fav this season are probably Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You and Though I Am an Inept Villainess. And while waiting for the new episodes I've been watching Dr. Stone. A totally different genre, but I'm liking it so far.

Did you finally decide what to watch next?
basetani Sep 16, 10:39 PM
I liked it!

I don't usually prefer to watch romance anime, but I heard the animation is really good (which it was) It's very heartwarming and I love the side characters (more than the MCs lol), so if you're into shoujo or romance anime then i would suggest giving it a watch!

However, it's very cliche and predictable, and not all that memorable for me because I am not into the genre to begin with, but that's a given when it comes to most shoujo in my opinion.

So overall, I'd say its good - for a shoujo.

Hello to the fellow Deidara fan! I used to have a crush on him when I first watched Naruto as a kid, haha

Lmao I'm not mad and I'm much more than 1 year older than you. Hello fellow horse? Oh snap you're not a horse by 2 days!

Anyway, I don't have a ton of time for anime these days with 3 little kids. Most my free time, like actual free time, is spent playing games.

yep def been to OC a couple of times, small world. Thailand is a pretty big move tho, that's cool!

and yesss Paramore is so good, always a nostalgic listen for me. That's What You Get and My Heart are some of my go-to karaoke songs lol

interestingly, Vein.fm is still active, they're still making music and playing shows. they just haven't put out anything super recently, but they're definitely still a band. i suppose after Fleshwater's success, they kinda pivoted their focus a little bit.

also yeahh i figured you'd probably like the second one more, especially if you listen to music at the gym lol. Vein.fm has a lot more of that heavier/aggressive sound if you wanna dig around some other time! :)

I remember enjoying all the series until I reached Long Ring Long Land (the arc was really obnoxious, iirc). I even enjoyed Skypeia.

Oh, you are struggling with the series because of the pressure. I think (I don't know whether I am right or not) you could flourish even if you have different tastes and no one should put some part of their identity to a series like One Piece (I cannot explain why specifically since there are many ideas in my mind that I cannot release). I am kind of glad no one is forcing me to watch anything.

I think I should continue the series with One Pace (though it's 1100 episodes late for me), since I am very overwhelmed by the amount of pending episodes I have to watch in order to catch up. Besides, the pacing gets so much worse when Wano begins. Do you consider watching the series with One Pace a good idea?

My bad. It's one of my favorite quotes from Saint Paul.

"that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

I don't like any kind of person
Maimu_chan Sep 12, 1:57 AM
Thanks.

Even I never had to consider the number, but times changes, and now I'm not the same person who'd sit through a show irrespective of how long it maybe (due to work and stuff) if it's not boring or problematic, quite often feels disappointed knowing that there are no more episodes left, well... that used to be a thing.

I have seen the Nippon Animation version of Hunter X Hunter, I know of the Madhouse version too but never got around it, I also saw One Piece till Arabasta, though I remember it being a fairly tough watch due to it's pacing, still I'd like to watch these shows at some point but also have to plan my viewing considering the long commitment, though Bleach is something I actually didn't like much, and the female sexualization was pretty distasteful for me, I do think Naruto also has this issue but in Bleach, it made me feel more awkward, plus I thought the story was weak, but I haven't seen it in it's entirety so maybe a second chance will change that for me because it's also been a long while.

I like Naruto more than Shippudden though, because I think the depiction of teenagers was very grounded and the fact that they weren't really capable of taking down serious threats, making the adult characters actually relevant to the plot, Shippudden is good too, but I thought it was fairly edgy.

In my country, the now anime boom was almost unimaginable until pre-covid but the pandemic made a lot of people discover anime, though I think mainstream anime is globally the go to for people, and anime fans you see offline are usually fans of mainstream anime, which is nice, but it's hard to connect with them because I haven't seen shows that really blew up in 7-8 years, like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, Frieren and more.

When I’m not so busy, I definitely will! I joined again because I wanted to get back into the anime community and watch more shows. I hate that I’ve been so off and on with it over the last 14 years. I also love being able to keep track of what I’ve seen.

Was there anything particular that influenced you to join?
