| I know nothing about their criteria but if it's about art and animation, Madoka did great. Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei , the first TV series to win the award was praised through its art and animation. In February 2011 it won the 2010 Japan Media Arts Festival Grand Prize in the Animation Division, the first television program to do so, with the jury describing it in their justification as a "richly expressive work that turns the limitations of TV on its head" and complimenting its "unique scene layouts, characters' actions and color scheme. For Madoka If PointmanW's post is true, then there must be inconsistency with the criteria. O.o |

| It's always Madoka, lol. I never expected that to win, much less for all this hate. xD But no, I enjoyed the art, too. It's one of the reasons I kept watching it. The show overall was enjoyable, but I will say it's a bit overrated, and I would never go so as to say: " [. . .] this series will become the necessary catalyst to change the world we live in." Oh, well. I'll admit that there were shows I liked better (AnoHana being one of them, as someone else here mentioned), but there's always next year, maybe. So congrats, Madoka! |
