| The main character sure is a coward and quite stupid. This episode wasn't as good as the first one, but it was okay. By the way, I have the feeling that Nakamura will expose the dark and wicked side of her personality shortly. |

| This episode was so much more interesting, finally some seriously repulsive stuff starts happening. I already wanna kill Nakamura off lol, not that protagonist is so much better... I'm sure there's something about our sweet, perfect Saeki as well, it's that kind of series after all. |

The bad animation actually contributes to the tone of this series. I would prefer more detail added in to the art to supplement the rawness of the rotoscoping, and a bit more editing to fix up the jarringly ugly moments, but I wouldn't change anything about the general style that this show is going for. I'm really disappointed that nobody is discussing the plot. The whole episode I was wondering what I would do if I were in this situation, and I felt like I came up with a lot better ideas than the protagonist. To me it feels like the protagonist is really stupid, and yet he spends his free time reading poetry and high literature. I'm really not sure how I feel about this, it seems like the story is going down the darkest path for the sake of darkness rather than choosing a path that makes sense. I'm worried about this series trying too hard to deconstruct the "panty thief" meme instead of tell a realistic story. I guess there's nothing else for me to do but watch the next episodes and pray that this story ends up better than my fears suggest. |

| Anyway, I have to say that I don't like being spoiled like that in the opening sequence, and I will probably have to skip it if this continues onward... The MC act weird ever since he entered the class which probably gave Nakamura an idea of what's going on... I guess basically Nakamura want to get laid with the MC |

| Kasuga feels shame after stealing Saeki's clothes, for a lot of viewers, these emotions might feel greatly exaggerated, but the shame after such a taboo act can be very strong, especially for a person like our main character who lives in Japan of all countries. The contrast between the realistic backgrounds and the minimalistic designs shows a huge alienation between our main character and the environment that surrounds him, with great mountains to effectively build a metaphorical prison; this feeling that is absolutely boosted by the difference in behaviour between him and his male peers, who are indiscriminately sexual and shameless. This is not only a concoction of Kasuga's meek personality, the loneliness, Japan's culture and the taboo act he has done, but also puberty and the innate difficulties this stage of life holds for everyone. Since Kasuga cannot express his feelings in an effective way, he uses Baudelaire's work as a scapegoat to try and make up for this shame. The contract with Nakamura, losing a "wanted" thing, I believe is about essentially losing the sanctity and purity that Kasuga has on his crush with Saeko, our main character is always trying to clarify that the love he has for her crush is not "dirty" or "grossly sexual" like the feelings of the other guys, but Nakamura makes it so a "Flower of Evil" grows between them, breaking this illusion of purity; stealing the clothes was the seed, but this "contract" was another step towards this objective of growing this Flower of Evil. 5/5 |
