Maybe I can like her more if they develop her character further. Plus we got more important background storytelling that connects this anime's themes together. Hope to also see more of Yui this season. |

| Shuri is getting more attached to the Tsugaru-shamisen, which like Setsu, has a deprecating background. It's like the meeting of the two birds of a feather instantly connects like threads of the Shamisen. NGL, Kaito's VA is Bakugo, so it's fitting that he is playing the "villain" character, and I kinda like the comedic banter between him, Shuri and Yui, plus Setsu on the side and the advisor Keiko, everyone from the Tsugaru Shamisen Apprecation Club. The musical symbolisms are on point this episode, I feel like I'm always learning something new despite being a growing musician. The Shamisen piece that Seiryuu is playing on the Futozao, the tenuous amounts of intensity and flair...it was frighteningly breathtaking. Even for a test play (that only Yui knows), the standard that Setsu's Gramps holds of playing Jongara Bushi, you could tell that it was WAY OFF and ventured elsewhere. Here's hoping that Setsu will find back his rhythm and play the Shamisen like he was supposed to with motivation. I can't understate how this show is getting burried by people, it's too good to miss out on such fine musicality like this. |

| Yui is the perfect friend for Shuri though. But man Poor Shuri being embarrassed in the worst possible way. Kaito is prone to misreading situations it seems. Koyabu sensei really went all out with that outfit of hers. Kamiki's piece though really was impressive. While Setsu's attempt didn't get the desired effect for him it did at least allow him to realize what direction his next steps should be. Overall an interesting ep that while doing well in world building by introducing the characters of Yui, Kaito and Kamiki also did well to build upon the foundations of Setsu's recovery via his helping of the club. Curious where this will go though. As a character im starting to like Shuri more than Setsu due to the contrasts that she brings to the series. |

| Oof. Hope Shuri is alright after that moment in class, cause that could be killer for anyone in that situation. As for the episode itself, there is just something so beautiful about sound, and how one's effected by playing and sound in general. |

| I like how the story is starting to come together. Another excellent episode. I am so excited for Setsu deciding he will play the song for Shuri's grandma. And with Seiryuu thinking Setsu isn't anything special that's a nice set up for a possible "redemption" on Setsu's part in the future. Really enjoying this so far. |
| Something about this show really does scream inconsistent and all over the place quality wise for me since the previous episode was great and this was more meh for me. But that also relates to Setsu's performances and heart when playing with the shamisen as well at the same time. One time, he blew everyone away including the viewers of the show, and this time his performance felt hollow and sort of.... just existed rather than display any sort of passion or explosion due to him not comprehending his own notes and movements behind what he's playing. Weird show for me personally so far, don't exactly know how to pin down my feelings for it so far. |
| Looks like there's a difference between just playing the Shamisen and the sound you create. The person playing the Shamisen must bring out the proper sound to the piece or else it's boring and dull. Setsu did not dig deep enough to find the sound he needs to play a piece. He'll have to develop or regain that ability. |

| That teacher certainly got herself dolled up and pretty much took the students down to the local improv club as an excuse to turn up. Serious vibes and undertones all around however when it comes to playing the Shamisen. Sound and music can mean so much to so many and be interpreted in so many ways, and this show is nailing it on the head so far. |

| the characters are standard, i dont think ill be Really liking any of them but every shamisen performance this anime gives are truly amazing. just as shuri who wasn't a fan or even knew Anything about the instrument im always hooked up whenever its played |
| Idk chief, the writing on this show has been pretty mid. This show just feels like things keep falling perfectly into place. |
| Great episode again, the music is just incredible. Every shamisen performance so far has been mesmerizing. It gives the drama and especially Setsu's internal conflict about how and why he wants to play so much more impact. Shuri seems nice, I like her and Yui is great too. I'm really looking forward to hearing Setsu play for Shuri's grandma and how it's gonna turn out. |

The show takes a lot of steps and metaphores to explain that, but it´s quite simple: He did a good performance when: -He wasn´t being forced to. -His feelings where being showed through Jongara. He was remembering his grandpa and how the song is a metaphor about life and aging. -He had an emotional attachment to the characters he was interacting with. -He didn´t had any pressure, besides performing to the public. This time he did it bad because he was intimidated by Seiryu, he was nervous, he didn´t know what to expect and why he was doing it, and he´s still looking for his own sound or inspiration, instead of going through the steps of his grandpa. He did Jongara amazingly back then because he channeled his own feelings into it, this time he just went textbook. That´s why the performance was "boring". |
| this show gives me existential dread and makes me panic about my music career. 10/10 emotion wise for me. I cannot remember reciprocating a character's anger and frustrations more than I did in this episode |
| Shuri was pretty adorable this episode. Felt pretty bad for her when everyone was laughing at her in the class. Loved the atmosphere of the episode. Looks like Setsu is going to have a rival soon. For some reason, he couldn't play the piece he wanted to play on the Shamisen. Loving the story progression as well. Good episode. |

| Great episode! I think the first two episodes were stronger but this was still pretty great. Truly one of my favorites this season, I hope it keeps it up. Felt bad for Shuri when they were laughing at her, must protecc. Yui is a good friend and character as well. Sensei and all the other female audience for Kamiki's performance were down bad lmao. I am glad Setsu found a reason to play for Shuri's grandma, this is a good step into fixing his inner problems. Really looking forward to the next episode. |

| god the girl with glasses is so annoying but n e wayss it was a good episode I like the slow character building and development also we got to listen to a fair amount of shamisen which I'm really happy about, such a beautiful sound |

| Looks like Setsu's grandpa's last words are still haunting him, but I'm glad that he decided he's going to try to play Shungyou for Maeda's gran and face his fear of failing head-on. I really want him to prove Kamiki wrong too... not sure I like that guy |

| We got another good performance, from a psuedo-rival this time. It wasn’t as great as the performances in previous episodes, but it was still good. I like that the MC is going to play for the love interest’s grandma, it should help give him inspiration after his poor performance. |

| Ah, that Yui was the one who listened back at first episode. More dude cast, to strengthened the cast? Ah so thats the route. Damn, what a fate. Setsu met that great shamisen player whose abled to defeat his brother. Too bad, Setsu still unable to played a better sound that fit the needs of that situations. However, its understandable if it would saved to the later parts, for a shocking value. I can't wait to see the reaction of him again. Meanwhile, based on his latest interaction with that little girl, Sakura, Setsu finally made himself up to played a little pieces he remembered for that Shuri grandma. Good luck next time, Setsu! |

| The Shamisen plays in this episode wasn't that impressive like the previous episodes. Setsu not being able to play like usual, it could be because the Shamisen didn't belong to him. It's a psychological thing, you just don't feel it when you're using something that belongs to someone else. Setsu's now giving off strong Arata vibes. The new characters introduced in this episode, all of them are so likeable. |
