| Whoa, Ranma actually asked Shampoo out on a date. That's a first but he did have a purpose. I did like their chemistry this episode even there were some chaotic moments. We got some cool dojo action and fighting. Seems this anime can't go one episode without throwing fists this season lmao |

| The way Ranma always coming to save Akane when she’s in trouble and vice versa.. truly my couple of all time. They’re each other’s last line of defense. Last week it was Akane coming to help Ranma after pedo sensei kicked him out, and today it’s Ranma saving Akane from the Dojo challenge. Deep down, they both know the other will be there to pick them up if they fall, they’re soo cute 😍 Not Ranma lying about ripping up the instant spring packet lmao. I really thought he was trying to prove how sincere he was about Akane’s feelings 😭 the way they can go from the most vulnerable and intimate moments to being at each other’s necks like cats and dogs is so funny. Fighting is their love language. Sooner or later one of them is gonna fold and confess.. (hopefully sooner) All of this taking place with the backdrop of Shampoo forcing Ranma another date just to satisfy her own selfish desires per usual lol. Ransham shippers are gonna be so loud this week |

| Lmao Akane was pretty cute as a ramen shopkeeper in the intro ngl. Soun and Genma's plan was actually pretty solid. It's too bad they tried to execute it the same day a real Dojo Challenger showed up. Ranma's so desperate to become a full man again he agreed to go on a date with Shampoo. IIRC in the old anime when the dog turned into a human it was an Ataru cameo which was kinda fitting. Wish they did it again in this adaptation. Funny how Akane broke her fists so easily. That kinda thing only happens when it's convenient to the plot lol. In the end, Ranma didn't kiss Shampoo, wasn't completely honest with Akane, and didn't get rid of his curse. Yeah, this feels like a typical episodic episode. My girl Ukyo is FINALLY going to debut in the next episode! About time. MAPPA is doing a great job drawing Akane and Shampoo beautifully. I can't wait to see what they do with Ucchan. |
| What a fun episode. The dojo challenger was here, and an injured Akane had to fight him all on her own for the time being while Ranma was on a date with Shampoo. LOL. Shampoo is such a gremlin. I love her so much. Other than that, Ranma and Akane's moments have always been the highlight of this show. Akane felt bad for ruining Ranma's chance of turning back into a man was cute. Their adorable and wholesome moments which turn violent pretty quickly because of their constant banter all the time. But that's what makes it so cute. |

| Soun had an interesting plan to bring Ranma and Akane closer together. But with a random dojo challenger beating him to the punch, and Shampoo bringing an excellent incentive to ignore the dojo entirely, that heartfelt hypothetical of his dreams went up in instant spring of drowned man smoke. Ranma and Shampoo trying and failing at guilt tripping each other is too funny. But I'm glad Shampoo somehow enjoyed her date in the end. That was great of the dojo challenger to reveal Ranma was just teasing Akane. Ranma totally deserved that slap. |

| I finally realised who Akane reminded me off, my f**king highschool ________.They even look alike. Anyway some sweet stuff with Akane but as usual everything back to square one at the end and he isn't cured either. Got my hopes up for nothing. |

| This time, Shampoo brings what would be Ranma's condition — and that means he has to go on a date with her. Chaos follows, as always, but the two share some really fun moments together. Meanwhile, Akane is having a rough time after hurting her hand. Luckily, Ranma rushes back to help her. But unsurprisingly, the cure turns out to be a fake. And still no kiss. As usual. Maybe next time Shampoo will finally pull it off. MAPPA is absolutely killing it this season. And honestly, Shampoo episodes are always a highlight for me.  |

| The Dojo Destroyer makes an appearance. But the fighter who gives the arc its title is actually just a side note, as the episode is once again all about the delightful romantic chaos between Ranma, Akane, and Shampoo. I like the idea that we have both the A and B plots here (Akane going it alone against the Dojo Destroyer, while Ranma and Shampoo are on a date) – two storylines that are cleverly brought together in the end. It's also great that it shows Akane isn't the classic "damsel in distress" who gets rescued by Ranma at the last second, but that she's quite capable on her own. Considering that she practices martial arts more as a hobby than a profession, she put up a good fight against the Dojo Destroyer. Ranma and Shampoo's shenanigans are, of course, in a class of their own. Ranma's repeated attempts to escape Shampoo's date were almost reminiscent of the good old days with Lum and Ataru Moroboshi—whose cameo appearance, unlike in the '80s version, is sadly absent this time, as @0451 mentioned. It's also a shame that the gag with the joggers seems to have been cut. (In the manga, Ranma is practically frozen in place, trying to kiss Shampoo, while the joggers have already completed a full lap of the park.) The ending, of course, was "typical Ranma." All in all, a very cool episode—as is usually the case when Shampoo is involved. Next week, Best Girl enters the scene. The episode many of us have been most eagerly anticipating. Something big is coming. |

| A bit surprised they adapted this chapter for the remake since it’s one of those “Ranma tries to get rid of his curse but fails” stories, but it is a fun one so I’m happy with it being here, and of course MAPPA handled it very nicely as well, it’s just a shame that dog didn’t become Ataru like it did in the OG anime lol, looks like I’m not the first to point that out. And the Shampoo date had some good bits, hard to really call it a date because Ranma was just there for the instant spring and he made it very obvious, but it was still a good time. And that big goober of a dojo challenger proved to be a tough fight for Akane, especially after she hurt her hand, but thankfully Ranma came in to help eventually, he may have wanted to blow it off for the instant spring but it just goes to show that he does care a lot for Akane deep down, that moment where he ripped up the instant spring to prove he didn’t kiss Shampoo was sweet, right up until the challenger called Ranma out on his lie lol. And yeah there it is, the instant spring was too good to be true, but hey at least Shampoo enjoyed herself that day. And is it actually happening, is best girl Ukyo coming next week? I definitely can’t wait to see how she’s done in the remake. |
| Ranma and Shampoo really have the best chemistry in the show. They completely understand one another even if they get angry at each other. It makes for better comedic timing with their counters against one another and how they manipulate the other's expectations. Not so much of that between Akane and Ranma where misunderstandings are always coming between them. |

| At this point it's clear to me that Ranma really lacks a way to properly communicate with Akane without sounding like a jerk. He can have a goal staying as a man while treating the date with Shampoo like it was nothing and helping Akane in the process whose injury is her own fault. However, he went about it in such a way that it's difficult to be on his side. Regardless, there was no way he was going stay a man at this point, not yet. |

| Loved the episode. Shampoo is as cute as ever. I kinda miss Ryouga, though. He hasn’t shown up in the last few episodes, and when he did, it was only as the pig. I really can’t wait for their rematch episode. I ain't sure if it’ll be this season or the next, though. |

| damn, i wrongly remembered the giant dojo signs stealer was a filler one in the original series. It was nice to see purple giant demon Soun Tendo again but this remake version is honestly inferior (at least the first time out of two). Ranma should have known better about the "date", and too bad this time the dog thrown into the water didn't become Ataru Moroboshi. Ukyo next? Cool. |

| I'm starting to get bored of Akane, at the start of this series she was actually strong, but now she isn't able to do anything by herself, always having to be rescued by Ranma, and on top of that she never drops her fkng tsudere persona, what a waste of a character. I also legit believe that the woman transformation is damaging Ranma's brain because there is no way this dude can have a date with Shampoo, or even Akane, and not be attracted, bro is acting gay af. |

| Soun and Genma interactions are always so fun. Their fake dojo challenge was a great idea thwarted by the real challenger. Too bad that spring packet effects lasted for too short, but the Ranma-Akane-Shampoo interaction before that was very entertaining, all in the middle of a fight. |

| @Mr_Sai I just looked back at the manga, and it seems like it wasn't Ataru there. Might've been the case in the OG anime, but here they're staying faithful, if anything. |
| I've been forcing myself to appreciate this season... this episode in particular was just such a whirlwind of contrivances and fake miscommunication that no amount of slick visuals could keep me engaged. |
