Is it just me or did the pink dots became more noticeable? Poor Mahiru, the third wheel of Karen x Hikari though |

| Fined? Not disqualified? Wait...Hikari is sleeping in the same room now because she lost to Karen? She Anthy or something? Poor Junna. Working her hardest and yet just cannot compete with the best... Hehe, sewing machines and the lights to open the curtains to the stage... Gotta hand it to the music. Them piano and violins... Ok Junna we get it, you want to be a star... I like the curtain closing that ends the duel, and position zero sounds so hokey... Yes, you call her Jun-Jun. Don't tarnish Junna's name... So I guess this becomes a tournament anime where Karen starts facing off against different girls and the problems they face. And based on the end of this episode, Karen will lose to Maya Tendo, and that's when we get the catalyst to Karen's development... |

| It was better than the first episode. Junna vs Karen rematch! Poor Mahiru, she is being ignored lol. Futaba is crazy with his motorcycle hahaha. The end was Maya vs Claudine. What is the punishment? I have a bad feeling about this. |

| The first half was kind of slow but the performance during the second half was as great as the one from the previous episode. However, I was expecting Junna to win since her performance was amazing and her motivation was admirable as well. Honestly, I didn't feel Karen did the necessary to deserve the victory. Also, I feel kind of bad for Mahiru too, she's supposed to be Karen's partner but since Hikari arrived, she has become like a third wheel or something... Karen needs to do something about that, to be honest. All in all, it was a very good episode and the last scene with Tendou and Claudine was intriguing. It seems the gap between them is bigger than I was expecting at first. P.S. 1: I love the way they use the lights as a way of presentation. I know it's not somethnig new but I really like it. P.S. 2: For some reason, I want to see Futaba's performance and see what she's capable of. I think I like her character more than I originally though. |

| Karen is... not very likable so far. I do understand that she represents the audience--her failing to grasp the full situation around her mimics the feelings of the viewers, and as she begins to unravel the mystery of this stage, we will as well. But I feel that she lacks tact and consideration for others. Always trailing after Hikari and shouting about their old promise as children isn't exactly quality communication. As others have mentioned, her victory over Junna felt kind of hollow: we know from the first episode that Karen *can* be kind of lazy, and (so far!) she definitely doesn't have the same kind of perseverance and passion that Junna has worked so hard on. (I'm afraid to see this turn into the "hidden genius overpowers hard work" trope.) And Mahiru! She's probably my favorite character so far, and she's so pitiable. It's sad to watch her pine after the main character when she doesn't even cross Karen's mind but once in two episodes. |
| How did Karen even win when Junna had the advantage with long range and all those distractions. She's doesn't even work as hard as many of the main girls esp. Junna is one of the most hard-working if not the most. Plot armor is strong here. |

| Honestly, I was interested in this anime based on its summary and how it’s about theatre, but man this start is not that great. The setting of this already confuses me on whether it’s supposed to be considered more modern-like or magical. Transformation thing is weird imo and doesn’t make much sense. Karen being so easily accepted into the audition really doesn’t make sense to me either considering she pretty much interfered with an audition and then is accepted as a participant with no penalty for it. Also the weapon thing is weird. Mostly cause one was given a bow to take off a cape and I’m just like “Is she supposed to pierce a girl’s chest with an arrow to take off the cape??” Do they even choose their weapons or are they just given it and are like “Here you go, use this to take off the cape!” cause then I feel bad for Junna being given such a disadvantageous weapon when the other person has a sword. I hope things are clarified more in the series otherwise everything so far is weird and doesn’t make much sense and I’m seriously wondering how no one has gotten seriously injured yet from these “secret” battles. |

| So there is some other dimension where girls somehow get to and there they have to fight for some reason and sometimes sing and this dimension is controlled by a talking giraffe... What were the authors smoking? No, i really dont understand anything. This is really strange and boring anime. And btw did you notice how visuals got worse by the second episode? Seems like the entire budget was spent on first episode. So, the main question now is where Hikari will sleep? In same bed with Karen ig?? I also liked these two on a motorcycle. Damn cool. P.S. And yet this giraffe haunts me. Why a giraffe? What do giraffes have to do with theater, songs and Japan in general? I would understand if it was a lion, after all the atmosphere in other dimension is quite solemn and all these costumes, but why a giraffe |
