One Outs

They don't rely on action but tension and suspense created from an ensuing battle of the wits. You could say that the Pitcher is to Kira as the Batter is to L or vice versa. 

Death Note and One Outs both are the same "type" of show in that the approach to each episode's plot is the same: using psychology to try to outwit your opponent. 

The style of this anime makes me feel like i'm watching Light play baseball. I wasn't expecting much out of this anime at first, but it really drew me in. If you liked Death Note, you will definitely enjoy this anime.

At a glance, they may not seem related. One is about baseball, the other mass murder. However, both series share a striking similarity. That is, they have excellent battles of wits and mind games. If you liked the things L did at the beginning to pinpoint Kira, or your mind was blown by the epic climaxes of Light's actions(Potato Chip scene for example), then you will probably like One Outs as well. Just as in the first half of Death Note, the pacing is excellent, and there is loads of tension as each scenario builds to a climax. Truly an excellent series for viewers who like being surprised. read more 

The way the teams are tryin' to make a fool out of each others is quite similar to L and Light. 

One outs is similar with Death Note But One Outs is About sport. The way of figuiring out the problems from Death Note is almost the same as in One Outs but even Better 

Both of these animes tantalize your brains. you will be wowed at the ingenious plans. In These two animes that are seemingly worlds apart (shinigamis and baseball), are really as similar as two animes can get. The key ingredient is the smartness, as some typically refer to as "brain-f***" 

Although delivered in different circumstances, both series have psychological tendencies that shares a similar feeling and maintaining a sense of mind games between the characters. The main character in both series are intelligent, cunning, and always uses strategies to solve their conflicts. Mistakes can cost them big time but they always try to stay ahead of their adversaries. The main protagonists also has similar personalities and throughout the series demonstrates their intellect in various mind games. 

I know, that OO is a sporty type and DN is an action, but the way Tokuchi (OO) resolves problems in the game is similar to the way L does. I think OO has awesome OST, while DN has interesting plot. I think both titles shouldn't be compared, but both are worth to watch. I recommend them. 

Both shows use suspense to attract the audience. Both shows have an extremely intelligent main character. While both shows may seem very different, (gambling in baseball, and killing people) they are similar in how they attract the audience! If you liked Death Note, you will also like One Outs! 

Both have many mind games between the main character and his opponent. Both are very thrilling and fun to watch. One Outs is more on the baseball strategies side whereas Death Note focuses on crime and mystery a bit more, but both have the same feeling when you watch them and are recommended. 

In both animes the main person(s) (Yagami Light, Ryuzaki - Tokuchi) is very clever. They make you wonder about what will they do next.  

Although you wouldn't expect it, the feel of this anime is very similar. It's full of intense psychological battles and mind games - battles of wits. One Outs has the good qualities of death note with out the brutality. People who liked Death Note should give One Outs a try :) Basically, imagine Light as being a less paranoid, gambling baseball pitcher. 

Different genres, but they're really similar! Both anime series are about power of intellect. You can know nothing about baseball, but you'll do justice to Toa's tricky plans!  

Two genius's's (genii?). Masters of intelligence. One in murder. One in... Baseball? Many of you found the best thing about death note was Light outsmarting people when it appeared as though he had lost. The same thing happens in One outs with the same level of intelligence from Tokuchi. In fact, in one episode Tokuchi's inteligence in outwitting his enemies was literally jaw dropping. Some of you will be sceptical about a baseball anime. Dont be. This is Death note (in baseball). Would love to see Yagami and Tokuchi play some time. 

the main characters of both TV series are one in a billion if you are up against them its better to die rather than have a face off with them . In One Outs tokochi goes out to conquer the world of baseball meanwhile Light is on a conquest to become god of this world they face many trails but get out of them by using thier brains and nothing else  

Though of entirely different genres, both anime's protagonists engage in psychological battles with different situations they face, not to mention how similar Tokuchi seems to Light and similar art styles when their reasoning. 

Surely, One Outs is the sports version of DeathNote. Both main characters have badass brain and strategy. When you watch the first episode, I am sure you can not be helped to stop watching again and again till the final episode :D 

Despite the very different themes, (OO's story driver: baseball politics; DN's story driver: power of death) both MCs are portrayed in similar respects. Both have high aptitude for critical thinking and an arrogance to match their "one-step ahead" thought process. They seem to always have the answers to unsettling and problematic circumstances. They each thrive on rivalry; (a noteworthy aspect in DN, to a lesser extent for OO) 

One Outs is very similar to Death note in the fact the both could've turned out to be a classic sports and mystery respectively, but both chose the psychological route. But unlike Death Note, in One Outs it is not 2 geniuses dueling it out in a psychological game, but instead merely one man who controls all in the game like they were pawns. Both series were animated by Madhouse as well. 

Mind games upon mind games, in both series we follow a narcissistic, genius, and often psychopathic main character being put in situations that from the viewers perspective seem impossible to wriggle yourself out of, and we follow the spectacle as the characters are forced to outwit each other in increasingly elaborate ways 

One outs are the only anime like Death Note, just in sports genre. -Both anime contains genius characters.(like enourmous genius :)) -Quite similair atposphere and little bit dark -Mind games between the characters. -One outs has just one minus - unfinished story, if you wat to know how the story ends, you must read the manga (it's worth it)  

-both of those series have smart main characters -The Main Characters in those series try to outsmart their opponet and play mind games -Both very psychological anime the most significant difference is that One Outs is a baseball anime while Death Note isn't a sports anime and it's darker than One Outs 

- They both are by the same production, Madhouse. - They both have characters who can manage to get out of tough situations in relative ease due to their impressive intellect. 

toukuchi toua the main character in one outs is basically light yagami playing baseball. two shows are both psychologically beating your opponent. one is killing and the other is with baseball and gambling. tokuchi kinda looks like hisoka from hunter x hunter too lol 

Both shows have intelligent protagonists, rogues and calculators, although we have some exaggerations and freaky things, both shows deliver good surprises and great strategies, the protagonists' anti-heroism gives a greater charm to both shows. 

Both animes have main characters that make very carefull decisions by always calculating the odds. Main characters of both animes are always two or even more steps ahead of their opponents. Their protagonists have always everything under control and are not afraid of the outcomes. Both animes will make you a better speculator in life. 

I got the same vibe watching One Outs as I did watching Death Note: - both MC's are calculating and extremely smart - they are relentless and will use any underhanded trick to stop their opponents - both have back and forth psychological battles that will keep you at the edge of your seat - both are very high-stakes (even One Outs, it is for millions of yen) - they are produced by the same studio Keep in mind that One Outs' psychological battles are centered around baseball though, so if you don't know the basic rules of the game, you should probably stay away. 

The two main characters are masterminds in their own ways. If you liked Death Note for it's reflections and ruses, you will love the way One Outs evolves thanks to Tokuchi's (One Outs main character) stratagems.

Both… …are psychological thrillers that deal with mind games and high stakes. …have an attractive, arrogant and super-intelligent main character. …rely on inner monologues and lengthy explanations of their complicated plans. …have amazing soundtracks and good animation. Death Note is a lot darker, as it is about life and death and the concept of justice. One Outs is an anime about baseball, but actually… it isn’t. I had no interest or a lot of knowledge in sports, especially not in baseball prior to watching One Outs, but it managed to hook me nonetheless. What little you need to know about the rules is always explained to the viewer. Death Note gets more closure and better characterizations, but One Outs is a little bit more consistent in terms of writing quality and creates exciting cliffhangers. read more 

Both are psychological thrillers, even though in very different settings, but somehow give off the same vibe.

Do you think that the one other show most similar to Death Note is Code Geass? If so, you're wrong. One Outs is the most similar to Death Note in terms of delivery and its protagonist that you can get while even calling it a different anime. On top of that, the pacing never slows down, there are plenty of funny moments, and it has a great group of supporting characters who don't steal the show or fade into the background; among all the works I've consumed, One Outs uses supporting characters the best for what they're supposed to do: support. And the villains are well done, too; even though they come and go, there's even some serious continuity with them between arcs that's always fun. read more 

Psychological shows with smart main characters that have to always be a step ahead of their opponents. They were both made by Madhouse, and feature somewhat similar direction styles, often using red and blue to represent each of its characters. 

- One Outs and Death Note do have a really different plot, however, psychological aspect in both shows is very similar. - MC in both shows is an extremely intelligent guy that uses amazing strategy to win in every possible situation 

Great character definition, Battle of wits. Tokuchi is way better than Light though. Death Note is entertaining and has a more intriguing story. One outs has better MC, better OP. Both are just great. 

Remove the crime and world-dominating aspirations of the main character and introduce Baseball into the mix, there you have One Outs. Insanely strategy-heavy and one of the coldest main characters in the world of Animanga. 

One Outs' main character, Toua Tokuchi, is basically Light Yagami playing baseball. Both are very clever and have psychological tricks. If you liked Death Note, it's most likely to enjoy One Outs too. Unless you don't like baseball.

If you liked Death Note for its clever main character and constant turning of events you will love One Outs. One Outs is an anime about a successful gambler and pitcher in the game called "One Outs" who is recruited to a major league baseball team and becomes their star player through his incredible pitching and brilliant strategies. Both of these anime have extremely smart main characters and constant suspense that keeps you interested. I strongly recommend this series to anyone that enjoyed Death Note. :)

Psychological Warfare. 

Same director, Same kind of psychological Seinen. Both anime are similar in a lot of way. While One outs is about baseball, what really stand out is the way he outsmart his oppenents. If you liked Kaiji, then you will most likely like One Outs. 

Both anime revolve around gambling and psychology. Both of these anime have amazing cliffhangers. 

Kaiji and One Outs focus around gambling, with a very similar presentation style and analysis. Overall, very interesting psychoanalytically and just in terms of suspense. 

Two stories where the logic is applied in different situations. Very good, either. It's worth watching. 

*Both are seinen and about games. *There's money in it. *Both psychology, strategy. *Intelligent protagonists. One Outs about baseball and Kaiji a thriller about survive but they have much in common.  

Both anime series involves the same director: Yuzo Sato. In fact, the main protagonist from both series has the same voice actor. Both series' main male protagonist has an intellectual mind and is not afraid of taking risks. Both series has a theme of gambling (with game elements) involving psychological factors with suspense and intensity. Both series also has similar artwork as well as the way they are presented involving money. 

Watching these shows triggers the same flood of emotions -- rooting for the underdog, amazed by all of the strategies and mind games, and getting completely absorbed in every little tactical detail. Although they have very different set-ups, Kaiji being about a man lost in the underground gambling underworld, and One Outs being a sports anime about underworld baseball, they have a lot of similarities and deliver the same sensational extreme strategy game high. Both feature cunning protagonists attempting to beat the odds and going up against a game that's always stacked against them. 

Kaiji and One-Outs are both similar in animation, due to both being done by Madhouse, as well as their basic concepts. Kaiji uses normal gambling and uses that as a base for psychological games, while on the other hand One Outs uses Baseball as a base for gambling which leads to psychological games. 

Both shows have a similar vibe to them, as they both are about gambling. They follow a main character that often finds himself in difficult situations, which he must solve using his own ingenuity. They have similar battles of wits and create an overall similar mood. They also have the same director. 

Although One Outs is less intense and thrilling and significantly less brutal, both animes are quite similar in the sense that they feature protagonists that use gambles and play with the minds of others to accomplish their goals. Both feature a rich, evil and unlikable antagonist who tries to mess with the protagonist. A difference though is that Kaiji is a lot less levelheaded and "overpowered" than Tokuchi but both are geniuses in their own respective way and come up with incredible solutions to the problems they face. If you're trying to find an anime as thrilling as GB Kaiji, One Outs may not be your best bet as has a much calmer atmosphere but if you liked Kaiji for the mindgames and outwits, you should definetly give One Outs a try! Also, both have the same voice actor which has a fitting voice for those roles. read more

High risk gambling by an intelligent MC. Stakes increase as the show progresses. Thriller with mind games. 

The main characters are quite the opposite to be honest . One is like a god in his show and the other in Kaiji is more human. They are all great gambling anime though with different styles 

Clearly the sports genre is merely of minor importance in One Outs. Primarily, the show's focus lies on mindgames that go on during a game. Both series feature gambling protagonists who aren't afraid to take risks when it comes to achieving their goals. While Kaiji puts the stakes higher with the MC regularly putting his life on the line, One Outs offers the same tension on the baseball ground. There's also the fact that both shows share a lot of the staff working on them. 

The central theme of both involves gambling high stakes where the protagonist makes use of psychology to outwit and overpower their opponents. One Outs differs being centered around baseball with a genius protagonist, while Kaiji is more brutal with its average protagonist and multiple different gambles. So, if your a fan of psychological anime that make use of strategy and showcase the risk revolved around gambling, then you will love both series. 

Easily the second best gambling anime, Kanji: Ultimate Survivor being the first, One Outs functions as a great alternate approach to the subgenre using a sport as a backdrop for truly intense gambling and action that just keep you on the edge. While not quite as excellent as Kaiji, it is still really truly great.  

The main character mainly uses his brain to win 

Both writers are marvelous in term of psychology and thriller.. Both have a great story Both have little/no fan services Both have marvelous quotes Both have extra manga content which wasn't adapted into anime Both are worthy watching 

Both anime are about high stakes gambling and mind games, one is centred around sport, the other is about regular gambling (ie games like Rock Paper Scissors) Another thing they have in common is that they are incomplete :((((( 

Both stories strongly focus on the protagonist and pretty much only them, they want to win and money. They gable and use tricks to outsmart their opponents. 

Both shows center around gambling. There is a higher corporate power that influences the main character's struggles. Strategy is a major factor in the games.

One gambling man, one game, and large sums of money. Those are essentially the three things that link these two anime together, both made by MADHOUSE studios. Both of these rely heavily on suspense and tension to draw the viewer in, you'll also find many other similarities such as art style and character personalities. To an extent it's a case of 'you like one, then you'll like the other'. 

It's Akagi with baseballs, so cash. 

Akagi is another anime about gambling men although it involves the game of mahjongg while One Outs is about baseball. The character design of Tōa Tokuchi is similar to Akagi's character, but then again the Madhouse animation studio has assembled a team of veterans from Akagi for the series. I will make more recommendations as the show progresses.  

If you liked how Akagi took something boring like majhong and somehow made it exciting suspense mindgame action then One Outs delivers except without the noses (Hey I liked the noses but most didnt...) and now its baseball.  

both animes are based on how well they can use their minds. both main characters are similar in how badass they are compared to evreyone else in the anime 

Both revolve around gamblers with amazing talent of analyzing/ reading their opponents mind and using it to win the games they play. Both Akagi and Toua are very calm and seem to not care about the results of the games but in reality their calmness comes from their high level of confidence in their abilities. The main characters are both very realistic and act based on logic.  

The main character of both is similar, cold blooded, cunning, is a genius. And both are about games. 

One Outs is Akagi but with Baseball instead of mahjong. psychological thrillers and mind games. 

both about super badass main character who destroy enemies with his scientific genius and temporarily control his opponent's actions 

One Outs can be described as Akagi with baseball instead of mahjong. Because that's what it is. The main character Tokuchi Toua is essentially the same person as Akagi. A cold-blooded genius who beats his enemies with mind games, emotional manipulation and wits. Another thing is that One Outs and Touas tricks are much easier to understand than what Akagi is doing, even if you don't know the rules. If you couldn't really get into Akagi because of a lack of knowledge about mahjong, you might want to try this anime instead. 

Akagi plays mahjong. Toua Tokuchi plays baseball. Apart from that, they are nearly the same character, including having the same seiyuu. The author of the One Outs manga drew heavily upon Akagi for inspiration, and both series are created by the same studio and director. 

Gambling and stakes on the line, both One Outs and Akagi brings out the psychological twist to gaming. The main male protagonists from both series are intelligent and often stay ahead of the game. Madhouse is also involved with the production of these two anime so expect some similar artwork. There is smart logic to the games that these two anime tries to convey. With that, there are intensity and thriller-like endings to many episodes that keep viewers at the edge of their seats. 

Both are about high stakes games with a lot of strategy. Akagi is based around mahjong gambling, whereas One Outs is about the underworld of underground baseball. Both anime feature cunning protagonists who compete in their field with a lot of strategy, mind games, and so on. A lot of incredible strategy is played out in both anime, so if you enjoyed one, you should enjoy the other. 

In both animes, we have a Mind Fuck main character that could be called prodigies in the game they play and like to Gamble a lot. 

Both One outs and Touhai Densetsu Akagi contain high stakes bets based on psychological cues. Skill and strategy will determine the fate of the main characters in each show. Baseball or mahjong could end up with life or death situations. 

Both anime feature gambling.Akagi is about mahjong and One Outs is about baseball.They are both psychological seinen mindgames with intense scenes and big plot twists.Their protagonists are very similar too.Both are cold-blooded and badass characters who put on purpose their lives at risk and they are extremely smart outsmarting each opponent that stands in their way.They are also voiced by the same voice actor.They have the same feeling so if you like the one then you will definetely like the other. 

Simple games, but they're actually not as simple as they look; skill and experience is not everyhing one needs to win. The protagonists in both anime share the same cold sadistic personality; they don't only aim to win the game; but also aim to crash their opponents completely. These two anime are just the same, the only different thing is the setting. 

Calm, cooled, collected and without fear is how the genius operates to topple the psychological battlefield. Showing the very reasons why they are known as the best, the very reason why they have gathered a cult following of enchanted and mesmerised followers. So, are you a fan mind games and gambles, involving a genius invincible protagonist? Well I have two anime for you, the only major difference is that One Outs focuses on baseball, while Akagi focuses on Mahjong. 

Both... ...are about intense, psychological high-stakes gambles. ...feature badass geniuses as main characters. ...rely on lengthy explanations of their incredible plans and strategies. ...consistenly create exciting cliffhangers. ...have amazingly awesome soundtracks! One Outs is more accessible, as it is about baseball and has much more modern animation and art style. Akagi is about Mahjong, and thus requires you to pay a lot more attention if you are unfamiliar with the ruleset. That said, I could enjoy Akagi even without actual Mahjong experience. Akagi also has a rather "unique" art style that is said to scare off new viewers, but I personally like it a lot.  

Both are about gambling. Akagi is focused on Mahjong while One Outs is about baseball. Both have smart and confident main character. Matches typically are about exploiting the game in some way. 

Watch one if you've already watched the other - mainly bc MCs represent each other so much, matter of fact, Madhouse made sure they share same VA who does such a great job. FYI: You won't understand mahjong in Akagi, not even the basics without a little research cause there's little-to-no explanation. Regardless, if you couldn't get enough of Tokuchi or Kaiji, at least give this 3-5 episodes, Akagi himself alone is an excuse to watch this. 

High stakes gambling anime centred around a game (Baseball/Riichi Mahjong) being used to gamble. The protagonist is presented a young man with an innate talent in the respective games that allows him to play on a much higher level than his opponents. This, combined with his cocky yet relaxed attitude and his inhuman skills at deductive reasoning make him appear more monster than human to his opponents and allies alike. They also feature a modified version of the respective games make especially for gambling (One Outs/Washizu Mahjong). 

Big Brain main characters that arent afraid to play risky games where the stakes get higher and higher. 

-both have superb mind games that just leave the opponent speechless -both have cocky but smart main characters 

Both about the main characters completely outsmarting and dominating the other characters. Both incredibly amazing and addictive! 

If you want a series of thrilling gambles with a lot in stake and a protagonist that seems to have everything planned out and almost always wins flawlessly with unmatched intellect and skill just like in No Game No Life, these are all in One Outs. Though One Outs is only about baseball, it is still a suspenseful watch. 

Both MC's Will do ANYTHING to win and use strategic and psychological warfare to their advantage! 

Both protagonists have uncanny abilities to read their opponents and make for a great psychological battle. no game no life is basically one outs without the sports and with ecchi. 

-both have extremely cocky but intelligent main protagonists -both involve gambling or betting as a major part of the story. -both involve mind games and trickery  

Different in settings only. But they share many similarities -Winning gambles is the main objective. -Both MCs own high intelligence -Use deceiving tricks to win -Both MCs are unbeatable -People around them do not have faith in them for the first time, but after several games, they are shocked and amazed -Produced by the same company  

Although the plots are completely different the main characters always use there head to outsmart and outplay their opponents. In NGNL one of the main characters has an ability called "Cold reading" where he can tell what someone is thinking by the way they are acting, in One Outs the MC has the same ability. 

well both anime's mc/mcs are extreamly talented at what they do and are down right amazing in crushing there opponents  

It's all about winning game over the opponent by using psychology and tactics. Totally fun, shouldn't miss any of them. 

Both are about sport and the main characters are very similar. The plot is pretty similar too, although Tatsumi (Giant Killing) is not actually playing on the field. 

Both anime show the strategic approach towards sports. However One outs is all about strategy while Giant Killing is a mix of all aspects of the sport. 

both animes consider a psychological side beside the sports main side. great stories and similar attractive characters. 

Giant Killing is like One Outs, because, both of them tell the story of very inteligent and presumptuous, and devilish men. And .. both of them are about of sports.  

Anime about sports of masses Both main characters are kind of genius in their respective sport, even though Tatsumi is not as "agressive" as Tokuchi could be. Both main characters also greatly enjoy defeating their opponent xD 

Both anime don’t consider sports only, but great part of psychology. Tatsumi has another goal than Toua, his intrigues don’t suit his own ends only, but the means used by main characters are very similar.  

Both series deal with professional sport. Professional sport dealing with a long season schedule, not knockout system. There is no win or die situation in every match like what you find in most sport animes. In other words, there is no easily predictable story like in most sport animes. Besides that, both main character have a great strategies and tactics to win a sport games. Although One Outs is a little unrealistic, but still fun to watch.. 

The atmosphere and tones in both anime are similar-- focusing less on happiness and teamwork and passion, but more on the realities of professional athletes. This isn't about high school kids so there is a broader view of the different parties involved such as management and fans. Granted, Giant Killing is a lot more laid back compared to One Outs where the psychological game is pretty strong. 

In both shows. the main guy enter an declining team. In one outs(baseball) as a pitcher, and in Giant killing(Soccer) as a coach. They turn the team around and make them good again/or carry the team. 

They are both about sport and about a person that can drag the team to victory by coahing or playing.  

My recommendation is One Outs. Now, you may be asking yourself, "Wait. How could a baseball anime possibly be ANYTHING like Code Geass?" The answer is simple--the main characters are both are master strategists who cannot be outwitted by their enemies. Tokuchi Toua has the same cold, meticulous and ruthless method of plotting as Lelouch, and he manages to outsmart even the most sinister of opponents. They are antiheroes who the viewer can vastly admire. As far as the baseball in One Outs, it's only a means of conveying Toua's talents to manipulate his opponents and predetermine how others around him will respond to a situation. Even if you don't like baseball, if you can enjoy seeing how a strategist works out his next move, you will probably like this series--perhaps even more so if you like the premise of a master gambler.  read more 

Both protagonists are the cold calculating type, I recommend One Outs even if you hate baseball.  

This accounts both R1 and R2, This may seem like a strange recommendation to those who watched either one. Looking deeper I recommended these two because they both revolve around human psychology and how to manipulate them. I love both and what i can say is when Tokuchi(one outs protag.) is one the field the game their playing is no longer baseball it depicted more as a war. 

Both feature main characters who are rather heartless. They're calculating and gain enjoyment from making their enemies squirm as they fall under the boot of imminent defeat. They are capable of throwing away everything and anything to ensure victory, taking risky gambles in tough situations. Always under pressure from their superiors, they come across as an underdog that you can really get behind because of the entertaining methods they employ whilst overcoming opposition.  

Both MC is a good strategian. Lelouch is very similiar to Tokuchi. Just watch it and you will know...

Both share lead characters that are pretty slick tactians that use their wits to outsmart the enemy. 

Both involve utilizing strategy against their enemies even when the odds are imbalanced. The main character in each shape the field to their advantage with tactics. 

Similars graphisms, thoses two are about sport, and one unknown [really great] person enter in the team.[Tokuchi Toua for One outs and Kobayakawa Sena for Eyeshield] But One outs is pretty most mature than Eyeshield ! 

What to say? they both are quite "unusual" series and somewhat similar to eachother: - both are sports genres - both have the main character (Hiruma for e21 and Tokuchi for One Outs) that look a lot alike and are very smart. They are the big minds behind every victory and every very well planned strategy. At some point of the story they both are compared (if not hinted to be one) to the Devil. - both can be very addicting If you liked one of them, you might probably end up liking the another as well, as they both worth the try! Highly recommended! 

Adult version of Hiruma Youchi plays baseball instead of american football. One Outs' protagonist Toua resembles Hiruma very much: a physically average player wins because he outwits his opponents. Eyeshield 21 is more humorous and there is more main characters, but if you enjoy tactic and mind games, I recommend these both.  

They both are sports and action anime. They both have "poker face" characters that make the anime more interesting and in the games, there are mental tricks to fool the opponent. 

Toua Tokuchi and Hiruma are almost the same. They both are awesome at thinking everything through and bet with their enemies for something they want. They both are great captain and make an awesome team. 

Aside from both being sports anime, they both are a little odd, in the sense that they rely on tactics and quick thinking. These tactics made by characters who feel and look similar. Both have weak teams at the beginning, and then a character who seems to excel at their position, giving the other teams a hard time, while they also give their all. The animation and sometimes the OST feels kind of similar too. The main differences, aside from the sport they include, is that One Outs is a seinen, and is focused on the protagonist; while Eyeshield 21 is a shonen and is longer, so it has more space for character development, and focuses on the team. read more 

Both are about high stakes games with a lot of strategy. Kakegurui is based around gambling and features a lot of cute girls, whereas One Outs is about the underworld of underground baseball. Both anime feature cunning protagonists who compete in their field with a lot of strategy, mind games, and so on. 

Both animes have a genius badass protagonists which manipulates/toys with the other characters to achieve victory. Although One Outs is about baseball both revolve around gambling, cheating and using strategies. 

Basically both have a genius main character, who has to manipulate his oponents to win the game. They also involve mind games and gambling with large amounts of money. 

Gambling large sums of money, Main character is a brilliant genius, Overly exaggerated reactions, Corruption, That one character who asks the MC questions to help the audience understand what is going on.  

Both about gambling anime 

Same vibe, different sports obviously. But the way two teams try and manipulate and find counters to each others strategies is all there. These two shows are definitely on par with each other. 

Sports! Strategy! Sadistic, intelligent characters! Although One Outs doesn't have the same variety of hair colour and good-looking bishies as Kuroko no Basket, it does have strategy; a great big helping of it. If you enjoyed the strategy employed in Kuroko, you will find your senses tingling in the first few episodes of One Outs, and it only gets better. Both utilise the strategies at their disposal with incredible brilliance as the situation progresses, making for an exciting show every time. 

Both are sports anime in which the strategy and trying to deceive your adversary are important. Both have a kind of OP protagonist.  

Both highlight the intensity of their respective sports. They also both feature good and smart characters that come up with unique strategies to win. The differences is that with One Outs, it is more about corruption and more focus is put on the psychological battles of each game. With Kuroko no Basketball it is more about the team and how they must adapt to each game as a new challenge and use their skills to win. 

Tokuchi and Ayanokouji are similar.Both of them are really smart and they outsmart their enemies pretty easily.They also dont reveal their true intentions to other characters. money (in youkoso case points) play big part in the stories 

the theme is same "psychological thrillers" but to be honest, Ayanokouji is just Tokuchi baby version both main character is genius, full deceiving, controlling everything the goal itself pretty same, which is take the top for the promise that MC promised to side character 

Did you finish Classroom of the Elite and found yourself really liking Ayanokoji? Well, the main character in One Outs, Toua Tokuchi, is as similar as it gets. Coolheaded, ruthless, smart, has a perfect Pokerface, and controls everything in the palm of his hands; Ayanokoji and Tokuchi both have all of these traits. Tokuchi is the type of character that you can completely trust to do a satisfying uno-reverse in times of "crisis" for his/her allies, and leave the antagonist's mouth gaping wide open. As you are probably guessing, they are both psychological thrillers, fun ones that give a heck of a ride. If you are holding back because One Outs is a sports anime, then don't worry. Coming from a person that knows almost nothing about baseball, I had a great time binging this anime episode after episode. So give it a try! read more 

Anime about baseball just focusing more on strategy and psychology. While diamond no ace focus on growing stronger, one outs shows what would happened if you are strongest from start. 

If you like Diamond No Ace you are bound to like baseball in general. As a show One Outs focuses more to the mind games involved in the sport from comedical point of view. 

While Isagi looks like a normal high schooler and the MC of One outs is just intimidating from ep1 , Isagi strangely starts to lose his shit the same way MC of one outs does. Except for the feeling that One outs is a more mature take, you would feel that both the MCs are great at playing mind games in 2 different ways. One's diligent and scary while other is sly and cunning 

High stakes with added elements to the sport. Both execute this very well; albeit differently, non-the-less you will be at the edge of your seat and root for more than just the main character. 

If Hisoka decided to take up baseball instead of be a hunter, One Outs would be the result. Additionally, both shows make something appear much more interesting than it actually is (baseball for One Outs, Arm wrestling for Hunter x Hunter). 

Both have a psychological aproach to characters. Both have a smart main character, but maybe Tokuchi is more godly like smart. Both are seinen. 

Find yourself wanting more of Johann Liebert's charisma, intellect, and manipulation tactics, but you're simultaneously needing a break from all the misery, terror, and death that he thrives on? You might find a buddy in One Outs' MC, Toua Tokuchi. He's apathetic, sly, unreadable, and leaves everyone around him questioning if he's some sort of demon. Unlike Liebert though, he's happy enough sticking to gambling (and eventually baseball) rather than setting out to make the world a badder place. Oh yeah, this show spends most of its time on a baseball field, if that makes or breaks your decision to watch this anime. I ain't judging :) If you're worn out from the (albeit well written) thriller and drama aspects that come with "Monster" but can't get enough of watching unsuspecting individuals get intellectually stomped on by a blonde boy who decided long ago that he has absolutely nothing better to do, definitely consider giving "One Outs" a shot. read more 

the main charcters have the same personality.. they're smart, arrogant, very good at tennis/baseball and they enjoy playing strong opponents... plus the matches they play have a good tension, they get to meet unique players in each of their matches.... uhmm.. there's quite a few psychological stuff in POF and but its mostly on One Outs... they're pretty good shows =) 

The're both a baseball anime......try it! You won't regret it!! 

Let me start by saying that I couldn't care less about either of the two sports portrayed in these shows; Boxing and Baseball. However, I WILL watch the hell out these two shows about these two sports. Although Ippo is more about working extremely hard to achieve your goals, learning life lessons, and getting punched in the face constantly, while One Outs is like watching a baseball chess match, all while learning obscure rules, strategies, and facts pertaining to baseball. They both have an addictive quality that caused me to sit around on my days off, feverishly watching shows about sports that I find boring. I even started doing pushups, situps, etc. while watching these shows because they have an extremely positive messages and for some reasonthey just inspire me to work harder. I'm not a huge anime fan, by a long stretch (although, my MAL list beg to differ), but I've never had cartoons impact me the way these have. Good shows, both of them. Take a look! read more 

If you liked Liar Game, then One Outs is similar because both are made by the same author and focus on genius mind games. Liar Game is about psychological battles and deception While its true that One Outs is mainly about baseball only ,so you gotta know some basic rules of baseball but the manipulation and psychological battles are still in it as well Both are exciting because the main character wins with intelligence, not strength.
